From "The Mountain", solo exhibition at Lifjell Art Center, Norway
Drawing on early mapping of the Norwegian mountains, the installation explores our evolving relationship with the natural landscape. Historically, from a time when the unexplored was a source of danger and superstition to the modern era of total mapping, the desire for control endures. That impulse, once purely geographical, now extends into vast new territories.
