SKIN and STONE

Artist book, Leporello

A landscape inscribes itself into the body over time. Through movement, resistance, and touch, experiences are stored as knowledge—a sensory understanding that enables us to read the landscape. Experience thus becomes a prerequisite. Without this embodied connection, stones, surfaces, and formations remain abstract entities, disconnected from action and consequence.
The book is based on the phenomenological tradition, where bodily experience is understood as fundamental to how the world is experienced and recognized.
